Tanja Sternbauer is the co-founder of the female factor, a platform dedicated to creating opportunities for (future) female leaders by boosting confidence, connections and competence. Members get access to highly curated, impactful workshops, individual mentor sessions with industry experts, and exclusive events in over 15 cities worldwide.

Connecting movers & shakers and empowering others to see and unlock their true potential in business and beyond is Tanja's true calling. Before starting the female factor she has been Managing Partner of Startup Live, the leading European Acceleration Program and one of the largest start-up communities worldwide. She was responsible for helping founders implement their business ideas and connect them internationally with relevant players. Start-ups like Runtastic, Shpock, Codeship, and mySugr are among the successful alumni of the program.

To raise more awareness among women to the topic of entrepreneurship and to connect female entrepreneurs, Tanja co-founded the non-profit organization 'Female Founders'. The network offers regular meet-ups and its own acceleration program for (prospective) founders and female-led ventures.

Before her work for the European start-up ecosystem, Tanja started her own start-up HeyBeauty, a scheduling tool for beauty appointments at the age of 25 after gaining experience in Berlin and Singapore.

Tanja was awarded “Female Rolemodel in Europe” in 2019 and was named one of the top 100 leading businesswomen in Austria.
